- About ITPS
Our charity activities are part of our efforts to grow our business in a way that has value for everyone connected with it. We aim to make a positive difference to our local community by delivering economic, social and environmental benefits wherever we can.
We currently support St Oswald’s Hospice - a specialist palliative care provider for people all ages from the North East; The Percy Hedley Foundation which helps disabled people and their families; and the Evening Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund which provides specialised equipment to children with disabilities.
We also support a range of local small charities and good causes as opportunities arise, and because we understand the particular struggles they face, we set up a staff-run Charity Focus Group.
Every six months the group asks our staff to nominate local charities and causes that they are involved with and encourages them to vote for the next organisation that will receive our support. The Charity Focus Group then goes on to organise a range of fund-raising and awareness activities on its behalf, for the following six months.
By working together we can all play our part in making sure our charity partnerships go beyond purely fundraising and develop into relationships where both parties truly benefit.
